Abstract: Vestibular schwannomas (VSs) are common benign tumors accounting for 8Y10% of intracranial tumors and about 80% of cerebellopontine tumors. Histologically, VSs arise from the sheath of the eight nerve. These tumors generally grow slowly, causing minimal symptoms at the time of diagnosis. The growth rate of VS is known to be extremely variable, with most tumors showing slow growth for many years.
